FROM MERMAIDS TO ELVIS

A Family Variety Show

Music, Dancing and Magic at the famous Leeds City Varieties

26th October 2008 at 7.30pm

Leeds City Varieties Music Hall, Swan Street,Leeds,LS1

This family event is being organised by Leeds White Rose Rotary Club to raise money for one of our favourite charities,Lineham Farm Children’s Centre, based at Eccup in North Leeds

The show involves local children and local talent raising money for a local charity

Our Master of Ceremonies will be our favourite magician John Hotowka

We will have dancers from the Deborah Coultish School of Dance and a 60 strong choir guided by Tracy Williams.

There will be songs from popular musicals including The Little Mermaid, Joseph and The Lion King

The choir will take us from Grease to our show stopper....Passion of Presley through the years show

We have 3 Elvis Tribute Artists taking us from Elvis’s early hits, through his career, ending with his Las Vegas Performances

The three artists, Ray Aron King, Dave Gracelands and Shaun Michaels’ starring in one tribute to the King of Rock n’ Roll.

The choir and dancers will join in the finale...and so we hope will most of the audience!

Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for children

The Variety show will be advertised in local press and on local radio.

Myself, Ray and Dave went to rehearsals today for the above show, and i can tell you, this will be a fantastic night, everyone involved have put so much hard work into the show and i am sure it will show come next Sunday 26th.

Hi GUYS,jUST GOT TO SAY THE SHOW SUNDAY IS GOING TO BE GREAT,INSO MUCH THAT THE PENULTIMATE SONG OF THE WHOLE EVENT WILL BE AMERICAN TRILOGY ACOMPANIED BY THE CHOIR OF MIXED VOICE.
YESTERDAY AS SHAUN SAID WE GOT TOGETHER FOR SOME PUBLICITY PHOTO, S (NO JUMPSUITS IN SIGHT) AND DID A RUN THROUGH OF THE SONG.
I HAVE GOT TO SAY IT SOUNDED FANTASTIC,THE INGREDIANT OF THE CHOIR AND THE MOMENT .
If you get the chance guys its going to be a night that in my view will keep the beacon alight in the name of THE KING.
And maybe hairs on the back of the neck time.

we are all buzzing it is going to be fantastic even if i forget my words ha ha ha this is a dream for me from the first time i ever sang a song it was to go to a theatre and perform i am so lucky to be sharing something so special with two fantastic guys who,s trust and guidance will help make this one of the most fantastic experiances in my singing career , the passion of presley is not only the title of our three man show, It is the core the binding we have to help bring forward who and what he was to try and dilute the crap the ridicule that so often is reported by the media goons ,and the sly chuckles and sneery remarks that any of us suffer just because we have a quiff and side burns REMEMBER FROM SMALL ACORNS, WITH TRUST LOVE DEDICATION AND LIKE MINDED PEOPLE ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE THERE MUST BE LIGHTS BURNING BRIGHTER SOME WERE. WE CAN DREAM

We cant do it, we are on wiv em backing em in our sparkly frocks lol.

Was at rehearsals sunday and the atmosphere was amazing. The choir were behind the guys 100 % this is what being an Elvis fan is all about, The Passion of Presley.

I must say the photographer was pissed off when the guys refused the typical Elvis poses expected for publicity lol.
