SHAKIN' Stevens fans were given a night to remember when the 80s star rocked into Dorset.

The crowd were treated to great music by support act Ben Waters and his Big Band. The Purbeck School Jazz Band also appeared on stage but had to cut their show short due to the weather.

Stevens kicked off the show with a fantastic version of Don't She Look Good followed by Turning Away.

Despite the rain, the crowd danced their way through the live set, bobbing their umbrellas to the 60-year-old's hits Oh Julie, Now Listen, Lonely Too Long and Marie, Marie.

He also played With My Heart, Don't Lie to Me' and the 1981 UK Number One single This Ole House.

The encore included Tear It Up and It's Late. Steven's last song Fire Down Below ended the night followed by a spectacular fireworks display.

Stevens - fresh from Glastonbury Festival - proved he's still got it.

Isn't it amazing what you can do with a bin liner, when we set off to the concert the weather was glorious.
not even the rain could take the smile off my face...... Shaky was Fantastic, roll on 13th December cheers

It was a glorious day when we arrived at the castle at 2.30 the gates to castle didn't open till 6 and Shaky wasn't on stage till 9
soon as the gates opened so did the heavens lol
we certainly was not dressed for the weather
